Africa 2017- Day 17

Day 17-Final Game viewing day
Today we spent driving around the park game viewing.

There was a great spot to view water fowl as well as hippos and crocs from a vantage point above a large pond.

We also got to check out some skulls that were displayed there including a hippo and an elephant.  The hippo appeared to have impacted wisdom teeth.  I wonder what we could charge for that!

Tonight we had a traditional Boma feast with the usual dancing and singing.

Fortunately, no one caught me on camera dancing around and through the campfire.  Luckily my pants didn’t catch fire.  We also got to try some “7-day beer”.  Mandela’s mother made this type of beer to supplement their income to allow him to go to school.  After tasting it (albeit it was not his mother’s) I’m surprised he made it past the 2nd grade.  It was sour and a bit gritty.  Perhaps an acquired taste.

Tomorrow we are off to Vic Falls and a hotel without canvas!
