Day 9: Return to the USA
Our flight from Naples to Philadelphia was on time and not terribly taxing. We had high hopes for a smooth trip home. Until arrival at the dreaded Philly airport. Our flight to Boston was delayed 2 hours (at least), which would have gottne us into Boston after the last Dartmouth Coach. American offered us a flight to Manchester (supposedly along with our luggage) that would get us in a bit earlier, and even with hiring a car service, save us quite a bit of money in hotels overnight (since American wouldn't pay for a hotel for us, claiming the delay was weather related even though the sun was shining). Before we left Philly, we found out our bags had arrived safely, IN BOSTON! We finally made it home and were abed by 1 am. Another wonderful flying experience. Our bags got to enjoy Boston for a couple of days before they finally decided to come home. Probably spent the time in the North End eating Italian food.
