Corsica/Tuscany Day 2

Day 2:  Bike build and more of Old Nice
This morning was beautiful, but the weather is predicted to deteriorate by early afternoon with some significant rainfall.  We got a great night sleep, and after a typical way too big breakfast with amazing croissants, we decided to get the bikes put together in the park across the street, and enjoy some of the sunshine.

Keeping my fingers crossed that I did it right!

Looks Good
Bike building went pretty darn well despite the fact that TSA opened the case, and the just thew everything in willy nilly.

After we parked the bikes in the garage, Bill gave a GPS talk.  Garmin Gene, the GPS guru for the trip, apparently had an MI on his way home from the last Santana trip.  He's ok, but needed some rest.

Jan and Bill, our hosts, have renamed Jeri.  Her name tags all have her as Jen Cohen.  She's been a pretty good sport about it, but we are still trying to figure out how to fix the name tags.

We took another walk around the city and stopped for a quick bite to eat.  The weather, as predicted, went downhill fast, and the rain started as we ate our lunch.

We got back to the hotel just in time to put on warmer, drier clothes and go back out for a guided tour of the old city at 5.

We'd planned to go into the old city for dinner, but the rain started to come down in buckets just as we emerged from the hotel.  We made a quick decision to eat at the hotel on the roof.  We made the right decision.  Great dinner, and the rain got worse.

It's now nearly midnight, and I need some sleep.  Hoping for better weather tomorrow.
